Heraldic Consultation is where any member of the SCA can meet with our local Herald and begin the process of registering an SCA name and device. These names are our way of expressing that we're in "medieval mode", and are a way to research more about a place/time that you're interested in. Coming up with a name is optional, of course, as is registering one (though registering it will assure that nobody else in the SCA will have the same name that you use), but the process is fun and a way to learn a lot about history!
